NIFTYS.art

As an autodidact/outsider, outcyber and contemporary artist

I  investigate images for health, wealth and happiness.

Symbols and topics are my interest.

All image styles and techniques are appreciated.

I recycle the past with the present and imagine the future.

You will notice.

The English alphabet is in most art images I make.

You can find it in the main image on the art frame or both.

For me the alphabet has become a reminder symbol.

The visual DNA of my cultural inheritance.

and

A symbol for imagining the future.

My understanding is that I am a product of my culture

and

that art

can start a culture,  spread a culture, sustain a culture,  or change a culture.

This interest in the source and evolution of my culture, along with my interest in the genetics and biology of my species

frames  my thinking about art

and

its value in daily life.

The physical art frame has also become an interest.
Their symbolic, metaphorical, theoretical and protective usefulness,

has become as important as the image it frames.

A metaphor for the biological cell wall or membrane.

That which contains our past present and future.

plus

I pay for some images.

Regardless of its origin I consider

my digital work to be:

original

and

transformative

and

 present a new aesthetic

and

a therapeutic potential

which was

not previously available

under fair use guidelines

Transformative uses are those that add something new, with a further purpose or different character, and do not substitute for the original use of the work.

In United States copyright law, transformativeness is a characteristic of some derivative works that makes them transcend,

or place in a new light,

the underlying works on which

they are based.

In computer and Internet related works, the transformative characteristic of the later work is often that it provides the public with

a benefit not previously available to it, which would otherwise remain unavailable.

Such transformativeness weighs heavily in a fair use analysis and may excuse what seems a clear copyright infringement from liability.
